The key current aims and objectives of the TSPCA are follows:

1.
To instill in young people and the wider general public, a better understanding of animal needs and rights - encouraging a culture of kindness, care and understanding.
2.
To provide education, accurate information, guidance and advice on animal care requirements.
3.
To campaign in the prevention of cruelty to animals, and for improved legislation for their protection.
4.
To work in collaboration, with other organisations, governmental and private, in Thailand, or internationally, in the achievement of similar aims.
5.
To support first-hand animal 'carers' in their collective or individual work.

Not restricted in its work to the welfare and care of pets, the TSPCA has initiated, and is active in campaigns against cruelty to animals of all types, including wild animals such as monkeys, gibbons, bears and elephants, farmed and other commercial animals such as horses and logging elephants, and laboratory animals such as mice, rabbits and monkeys used in medical and pharmaceutical testing.
